Team Sask and New Brunswick got together in the heat of CUP 2 to determine who would play in the 5th/6th game tomorrow. The NB squad jumped out to an early lead, which grew to 15 points early in the 2nd quarter, and our guys were playing catch up the rest of the way.

Team Sask had climbed back to within 5 points with 5 minutes to go but the NB guys replied by hitting 6 straight shots including 2 3-pointers to hold off Team Sask.

Brendan Hebert and Matt Campbell lead the Team Sask scorers with 26 and 15 points respectively. Matt C also chipped in 13 boards. Joe De Ciman added 7 points, and Sam Derksen, Jon Harding and Ben Baker each contributed 4 points.

Hebert’s tournament came to a crashing end late in the fourth quarter when he collided with a NB hoopster.  Hebert was diagnosed with a fractured left hand.

The team will play their final game on Friday against Alberta for 7th place.
