Julie Brandt, Chair of the Saskatchewan Games Council, is pleased to announce that Mark Bracken will be the Team Sask Chef de Mission for the 2017 Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg.  The Council has once again partnered with Sask Sport Inc. on the naming of the Assistant Chef and are pleased to have Alison Brown join our mission team in that capacity.

Mark attended his first Canada Games as a mission staff back in 1999 in Corner Brook, NFLD, and since has been involved in seven Canada Games and four Western Canada Summer Games, acting as Assistant Chef for Team Sask on four different occasions. As the Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Games Council, Mark brings strong leadership and experience to the role of Chef de Mission.

Alison, a Sport Consultant with Sask Sport Inc., is excited about her first opportunity to act as Assistant Chef for Team Sask.  Alison has experience on mission staff at two Canada Games and was a volunteer at the 2005 Canada Summer Games in Regina.  Alison has been employed at Sask Sport for over 20 years and brings a solid knowledge and understanding of the Saskatchewan sport system and multi-sport games.

The 2017 Canada Summer Games will be held in Winnipeg, MB from July 28 – August 13 featuring 16 sports and over 4000 participants.   These Games will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Canada Games and the 150th birthday of Canada.
