September 19 - 27, 2015 has been marked as the first ever annual National Coaches Week in Canada.
"As part of the Year of Sport inniative, the Canadian Coaches Association will begin hosting an annual Coaches Week to celebrate the termendous positive impact coaches have on athletes and communities across Canada. Recognize your own coach by saying #ThanksCoach, or join in on one of the many events being offered across the country before the week ends!" -CAS
In 2015, Team Sask competed in both the Canada Winter Games and Western Canada Summer Games. These two Games alone saw just under 100 coaches who dedicated their time and expertise to our athletes. Over the years, there have been thousands. We truly appreciate the impact coaches have on our athletes not only in sport, but outside of sport as well. After all, SPORT: It's more than a Game.
