Saskatchewan excelled in target shooting Monday at the Canada Winter Games in Halifax.

Cassandra Wilson-Anderson of Naicam and Aerial Arthur of Saskatoon combined to win gold in the women's team air rifle event. Mack Kohl of Montmartre and Clayton Schlosser of Lloydminster were the silver medallists in men's team air rifle.

None of the four medal-winners were available for interviews on Monday.

In other Team Saskatchewan results on Monday:

Wheelchair basketball: Nic Goncin of Regina scored 35 points to lead Saskatchewan to a 71-38 victory over New Brunswick.

Ringette: Ontario defeated Saskatchewan 4-1. Amanda Dacey of Regina had the lone goal for Saskatchewan.

An error appeared in the ringette summary in Monday's Leader-Post. Two goals credited in the story to Carmen Agar of Regina were actually scored by Kailee Karchewski of Regina in a 10-5 victory over British Columbia on the weekend.

Long-track speedskating: Peter Stoffell of Saskatoon was the top Saskatchewanian in the 5,000 metres, placing sixth in a time of seven minutes 30.47 seconds. Michael Wrubleski of Regina was ninth (7: 41.65), followed by Axel Morin of Saskatoon (13th; 7: 54.54) and Ryan Bernhard of Muenster (18th; 8: 12.55).

In the women's 3,000m, Ana Conly of Grasswood was 14th (5: 10.06), followed by Hilary Fast of Saskatoon (5: 21.92) and Christina Thiel of Regina (5: 26.21).

Squash: In the male division, Saskatchewan defeated the Yukon 3-1. Quebec beat Saskatchewan 4-0 in female competition.

Hockey: Saskatchewan's men's team defeated New Brunswick 5-3. Details were unavailable at source.

Curling: In women's curling, Saskatchewan defeated New Brunswick 7-6 in an extra end. Saskatchewan is skipped by RaeAnn Williamson of Regina. She curls with Calan Hamon (third), Amanda Kuzyk (second) and Katherine Michaluk (lead).

Artistic gymnastics: Saskatchewan finished sixth in the men's team event.
