Charlottetown, PE – Saskatchewan ringette is back on the podium at the Canada Games.
An overtime goal by Rylie Bryden slid just inside the far post to end a wild up-and-down bronze medal game.
Saskatchewan took a 3-1 lead in the 2nd but PEI came storming back with back-to-back power play goals to tie the game at 3. When Saskatchewan went up 4-3 late in the 4th, PEI answered again on the powerplay ot send the game to overtime.
This is the second ringette medal in Saskatchewan’s history. The last, a bronze in 1999 on a team that current head coach Mel Brockman played on.
There is fresh footage and interview clips in the dropbox and photos on flickr.
