Chef de Mission, Lorne Lasuita congratulates all athletes and coaches on being selected to represent our province in Canada’s largest amateur multi-sport event.  Their dedication and commitment during the past number of years has resulted in an opportunity to compete against the best athletes from across Canada.  The City of Sherbrooke is well prepared to welcome our athletes and will provide them with all the logistical requirements, leaving lasting memories for all the participants.

The Saskatchewan Games Council provides the logistical support for Team Sask prior to and during each Canada Games.  The provincial sport governing bodies are responsible for athlete and coach selection and training prior the Games.  22 mission staff will support Team Sask in Sherbrooke as the link between the host organizers and the team.

The Canada Games, a celebration of youth, sport, culture and community, are the product of ongoing collaboration between the Government of Canada, provincial/territorial governments, host municipalities, the private sector and the Canada Games Council.  In one week over 4000 of our country's best and brightest athletes will set their sights on La belle province as Sherbrooke hosts the 2013 Canada Summer Games.
