St Catharine’s, ON (August 9, 2022): A swimmer, Hannah Ouellette (Saskatoon, SK) earned the first medal (bronze) of the 2022 Canada Summer Games for Team Sask. Ouellette swam her way to the first bronze medal in the women’s 14-26 50m fly multi-class para (S1-7) female category at the Brock University- Eleanor Misener Aquatics Center.

Ouellette has been swimming for six (6) years and is a part of the Saskatoon Lasers Swim Club. Ryan Jones is her coach both in Saskatoon and at the 2022 Canada Summer Games.

Ouellette’s parents and friends came from Saskatoon to cheer hard and loud, while showing their support. When asked if she thought she was going to medal, Ouellette said “Well I felt like I took time off (my prelim time), so maybe (I had the chance to medal).”
