(July 26, 2013) Ottawa – The Canada Games, along with StreamIt, have announced the official webcasting schedule of the Sherbrooke 2013 Canada Summer Games in Sherbrooke, Quebec.
The coverage, which builds upon the coverage from the 2011 Canada Games, features over 800 hours and has tried to include as many sports as possible. The coverage allows the support systems for Canada’s best young developing athletes to cheer on their home-town favourites.
‘’We are so excited to once again offer additional ways for fans to access Canada Games coverage,’’ said Tom Quinn, Chairman of the Canada Games Council. ‘’The use of webcasting is certainly a great way to enhance our conventional and online presence as well as offer Canadians the chance to view most of the sports on our program.’’
Over 800 hours of webcasting coverage will be made available during the games through the Canada Games portal, canadagames.tv. The portal allows users to interact via twitter, view live webcasts and watch archived Games footage for the 2013 Games and from past Games editions.
“The Host Society is proud to offer friends and family as well as audiences across Canada the chance to experience the Canada Games live from August 2nd to 17th. Expect to witness some exceptional performances and very special moments!” said Tom Allen, Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee of the 2013 Sherbrooke Canada Summer Games.

Archives will also be available on canadagames.tv. One of the future goals of the Canada Games is to offer webcasting coverage of every single sport on its program.
