QUOTES OF THE DAY:

  • “Gold was the goal, I trained and worked so hard to try to achieve it but fell short. I’m disappointed that I lost, but ultimately, I feel so blessed to have had this opportunity and this experience,” said Donovan Neudorf, wrestling. “My opponent (Cruz Lewis, ON) was no slouch, and I knew he was solid. He bested me today and I have to give him credit for his skill and strength.”
  • “Super proud of all the kids for the support they showed one another and their ability to bring their teammates back up after a tough loss. I have to say the Sask kids brought the heart and fought hard,” said Vanessa Brown, Team Sask Wrestling Coach. “Donovan had faced the guy the day before and lost. He improved today, he closed the gap. There’s really nothing more you could ask for. I am privileged to be able to help coach such a good kid, he’s a leader on and off the mat. I know he was disappointed in his match today, but he left it all out there as did the rest of the kids. “
